Mom's Birthday Gift

I have about 7 projects going at this time but stopped to work on an altoid tin for my moms bday. The pattern is from The Prairie Schooler-Stars & Stripes new booklet. I am going to add a few pockets to the pull out. I finished the pull out..one area for scissors, and where the clippers are I will add a small measure tape. then a few pins on the pin holder.

Beatrix Potter Quaker Sampler

I found this great and apparently rare pattern on etsy for a steal! I love it and finally started last night. The blog for this sampler is full so I guess I will just post it here.... I am using 32 Count Autumn Gold by Lakeside Linens, wasn't cheap but sooooooooooo worth it. The pic doesnt do the color justice. I will take a better one at home. This was just with my cell. The thread is Apple Fritter by Crescent Colours.

2 days later, got the new pic taken and a bit of more progress. shows the color of the fabric and thread sooooo much better. I am hiding this from my mom, she will want to know when i am starting her lighthouse sampler. lol Mothers day i ordered her a new reproduction Sewing Bird from LACIS. It comes in a nice lined box. Can't wait to give it to her. When it comes i will post a pic.

My Own Biscournu

I found this free pattern online and used some hand dyed threads I got from ebay. She has a great store, and sells 100 yards for $8 and includes free samples too!!! The threads are very muted verigated. Her seller name on ebay is 2500nancy.

Grand Marquoir

I have finished part 1 of the Grand Marquoir and started the 2nd part last night. Of course i messed up and started at the bottom. Don't ask me why, I had a stupid moment. lol. So the bottom part I will be frogging as I have learned to call it and started at the right point AGAIN! lol..ah well, from hearing others it could be much worse.

A Delightful Surprise!

I found this cute box on etsy. Its from a reproduction sampler, it has all sorts of goodies inside. A pinkeep, thread holder, 2 needlebooks and a scissor fob all tucked away in a sturdy box. I didn't pay alot, but there is a website on the under part where you can get one yourself. www.inthecompanyoffriends.com

Coq Au Pins Revisited

I love the Coq Au Pins pattern so I decided to use bigger count lugana, change up the colors a bit and add a flap. Half way through I decided it would make a good needlework pocket. I just finished the main part and am working on a matching biscornu. Will probably make a scissor fob also.
